As with any system, BEMS needs upkeep to keep it performing optimally, whether that’s BEMS maintenance or a complete energy use optimisation. Additionally, many buildings and BEMS do not operate as they were originally intended and now run inefficiently as a result. The cost of this inefficiency is more than just energy bills. For example, running equipment unnecessarily increases the maintenance requirements and reduces the plants operational life.
