Victoria Quay HVAC Controls Upgrade for Scottish Executive – MITIE

Environmental Energy Controls successfully tendered and won the complete controls HVAC upgrade for a key scottish executive site – Victoria Quay. This seen the complete removal of the 20-year existing system (end of life) with the latest tridium Niagara framework system and IO modules.

With some 25 control panels throughout the building the old control system was removed in its entirety. A new system was then installed throughout using the latest best practice energy standards. The site seen also the installation of Solar power, CHP system in plantrooms which required new controls techniques to provide the best level of energy control possible. With a New front end the onsite facilities staff now have complete visibility and control for all the essential services and made aware of any developing problems that may affect the smooth operation for its staff. This was one of 5 other sites which were upgraded over a 2 year project and seen the portfolio adhere to its energy reduction targets.

With the high standards set by the Scottish executive and the design team we delivered a fully compliant system which will ultimately see the sites operating correctly for the future.
